The Helping Hands team @ Rookwood Cemetery resume its regular gardening programme in March, Saturday 8th & 22nd. at 9.30am.
If your interested to help for a couple of hours on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month you would be very welcome.
Just bring a few tools (gloves, garden spade, rake, pruning shears) and alot of enthusiasm.
Bring a hat, sun lotion, insect repellent, appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear, drinking water, something to sit on & some lunch.
Meet at 9.30am in the Village Green carpark opposite All Souls Chapel in Hawthorne Ave.
We break for lunch at midday then work for an hour or two after lunch depending on the weather.
At quitting time, we gather for a coffee and enjoy a chance to socialise.
The work is as hard as you want to make it, so you can put as much effort as you wish. As a volunteer your not obliged to stay the entire time or come every gardening day. Come & check it out!
